The 5th Annual Manassas Veterans Day Parade kicks off in Historic Manassas at the intersection of Quarry Road and Prescott Ave. on Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 a. m.
The Veteran’s Day Parade is a tribute to ALL veterans AND active military for protecting our nation here and throughout the world. The Manassas parade, the largest Veterans Day Parade in Northern Virginia and in the Washington DC area, includes members from local veteran’s organizations, both military and high school bands, pipe and drum corps, military units from various Armed Services, and military vehicles.
According to the press release there will be “more than 50 units representing veterans associations, marching bands, youth organizations and an array of floats, color guards and military re-enactors will be participating”!
The theme this year is to recognize the Gulf War, Desert Shield/Storm Veterans. After the parade, there will be displays by the Marine Corps and Freedom Museums near the Harris Pavilion and there will be displays of military vehicles near the Manassas Museum!
